Material Wood
Cost $100—$150

This next easy corner will cost you under $150. Most of what you need is wood. You need 2 by 2 wood. Assemble all the parts of the beams together with glue. Place the board on top of the frame you have made.

Since it’s an L-shaped desk, you will have to assemble one after the other, and as you go on, watch how the parts fit together. So what you have to do is assemble the base first, spray with a primer, sand, and spray again. When the frame is dried you can now take them to the corner and assemble them. Bring the boards that you have sanded and sprayed, screw them down on the frame and you have your corner desk.

How To Make A Corner Desk

Here you are making a corner desk with drawers on both sides of the desk. You should begin your work by building the frames. First work on the board which is a plywood top. You also need plywood for the drawers and the side panels of the frame.

Using precise measurements, build the top of the desk according to the location measurement you have. Next, build the boxes that would contain the drawers. Drill pilot holes in the frame and add glue, then place the storage units on the frame. Attach the bottom rims to the storage units. Fit the drawers into the storage unit. Smoothen the surface of the wood by adding wood filler, then sand and add the other finishing touches.

Place four pieces of framing wood together side by side and glue them together. Attach two mending plates to each side of the framing wood and secure it with screws. Do the same for the opposite side of the framing wood. Repeat this process for another four pieces of framing wood and these will form the surface of your desk. 60. Corner Desk Plan DIY

Level Easy
Material Wood
Cost $100-$150

Corner Desk Plan DIY

Here’s a corner desk plan without legs, a floating desk. Use birch plywood wood for his project to cut costs. You also need brackets which will give the impression of a floating desk. Using two layers of plywood is a good idea. The birch plywood on top and a cheaper one on the bottom.

Depending on the length you want for each side of the L shape, cut the plywood and plane, preparing it as the top. Sand it, then add poly, and sand it again, until you have achieved a beautiful surface. Next prepare brackets by following the same procedure as the desk. Fit the brackets in the wall and place the top on it, screw it down.

This is made from plywood, wood screws, and drill. The top is made from oak veneer plywood. Measure the dimension properly so that the bespoke shape will come out fine. After this is fine you can move on to the base. Cut all the pieces needed for the base and screw them together at the appropriate position. The making process of this DIY corner desk is pretty much easy to follow. It might take some time to finish, but the time-taken would be worth it in the end.

Material Wood, birch plywood
Cost $150—$200

How To Build A Corner Desk

To build this corner desk you need wood; preferably mahogany, plywood, Baltic birch plywood, maple, drawer guides and pulls, and some satin finish. You can start by milling the parts to size. Add a little oversize to reduce wood movement during the construction.

Route the grooves after joining the parts together for the frame. Add the rails in the drawer unit. Once again, do dry fitting to see how it all comes together. Add the rail curves. Add the leg grooves to the frame. After putting all the drawers in, put the top on the frame and paint.

63. Custom Corner Desk DIY

Level Expert
Material Ambrosia maple
Cost $150—$200

Custom Corner Desk DIY

This corner desk design is best for offices. To get the best result, opt for ambrosia maple. It takes some forethought, measurements, and planning to get this right. Draw a sketch showing these measurements before going to work. Begin from the top by cutting the wood into pieces of 1-inch thickness.

When the top of the desk is ready by gluing them together, focus on the cabinets on both sides which will serve as the legs. Before placing the top on the lower frame, remember to add all the holes you need for office work like USB ports. The drawers come in last. Do not forget to spray and sand as you build.
